Theme 57 - Change

First day of college.
Freshers.
New people.
“You deserve someone who could change you” He remembered being told before being left.
And then he saw her. Her eyes had that never ending twinkle, her beauty, flawless.
"What to do you dream of?" they asked her.
"To bring a change." she said at once.
He smiled.

Shreya was gazing at the rain outside the window in reminiscent mood. She closed her eyes and realized a fear of closeness with him which had taken a nasty turn in her life. It's not the same smile they exchanged, not the same texts, waiting for calls became obsolete. At last, a drop of change snuggled.
- Sanchi Bahrani

Two patients were hospitalized in the same room. First patient's bed was close to the only window and was allowed to sit; he described all the beautiful things outside to his roommate. One day it was revealed that the other patient was blind and he replied "It gave me happiness to make a change in your day".

Mr. Mehta: Hey young boy, its election time and I think you haven’t voted.
Young boy: Does that make a change? I anyways was busy in my TOEFL classes.
Mr. Mehta: Haha! Young boy, does that make a change?
If you can’t bring a CHANGE in your own country, what would you bring in other?

It's night. Raining. A girl walks alone along the sidewalks as she sees a man following her. Petrified, as the horrific stories run in her head, she is abruptly stopped by the man, only to hand over the watch that had fallen.
Perceptions need to change, don't they?
- Harshit Bhatnagar

She looked at him from a distance. Noticed his clothes and smile. Saw him walking towards her.
She saw through the pain he had been hiding behind that smile. Felt like talking to him about it.
But, soon the signal went green. She just handed him some change, a sympathetic smile and pressed the accelerator.

- Zoya Warsi

Second Entries:
Everything for her was different. Being raised by a father, from the making of her ponytails to having "THE TALK", it was all different for her.
Not having a parent changes everything, doesn't it?
- Harshit Bhatnagar

- Aishwarya Rai

Friend: This society is totally annoying. Lifestyle shehri, par soch ekdum gaonwali... cleanliness, traffic rules se lekar love marriages & riots tak... Jo dikhta hai sab badalne ki zarurat... FB par page bana diya aaj tere bhai ne...People will take initiative... Kya bolta hai?
Me: May be for someone else, you are annoying!
- Shashank Mehta
