on Payal's face.

I lost it.
It was there just few minutes back. Its hard to think something beyond than it.
Depth, I am into it.
Unpredictable life and its unfortunate happenings. Tears making their way through eyes.
Line of thoughts in mind.
Quiet.
Wondering, I may get it back on my face soon. Smile.

Sleeping just 5 hours a day, completing files, 22 in a hour, not having lunch, not using the lift to the parking to save time, darting down to railway station, travelling in the train for 2 hours... was his routine.
Just so that he could daily see her opening the door with a smile, one thing that erased all the pain.

A proud smile on your parents face when you achieve something..

Along with each Pani Patasha, our usual chat was on, interrupted by feeble murmurings, grabbing my attention past 10 minutes. Skinny kids in dusty clothes behind my back were staring hopefully. First proposal was rejected but as she moved on, I order some for them. All faces twinkled like stars with a bright shine. Actually, that shine was a SMILE.

Waiting for husband's call, sitting in ray less room, I was reliving old memories.
7pm: Doorbell rang. A life-less body was kept in front by two militants.
Suddenly, life fell on an offbeat juncture. It was hard but as peace begins with simile, I decided to award his heroic work by bidding him adieu with a smile.
- Abhilasha Sharma, MBA (MM), I Year.

After a long time, when the old lady saw his son who was working in the military returning back to home for a while, the smile which came on her face was a real smile, which made others feel the affection between them.

This is how I gave my love another chance.. with a smile..!

Street Plays beg and chase
Holy smile of small vision
Deep sighs fall and rise
A heart melting in prison.
Million shares everyday
Some are phony some are rare
A lively mate when along with her friends
Has a pure smile on her face
She who runs after her baby
Her smile is real today!
- Avinash Kashyap,  MBA (MM), I Year

Chilly winter, train trip, late evening.
Some people were reading, others were having dinner. A little boy moved selling tea but nobody bought one. The boy again passed from there, seemed a little upset now.. I called him back "Chotu- Ek cup chai doge mujhe?" I saw his eyes smile when he served me tea saying "Didi, ye chai aur shaam aapke naam!"

- Rahul Jharia, MBA (MM) II Year

Theme 2 - Winters

Credits: Tumblr

Another morning, time to wake up... Alarm buzz, birds chirp with a mingle sound. I start to open my eyes leisurely, window glows and what it saw was a ravishing smoggy dawn. College starts at 9 and I need to be quick. 10 kilometers drive makes me shiver like hell but I enjoy it because it’s winters.
- Aman Soni, MBA (MM), I Year

But when they are together, winter is warmest...

One morning when Sakshi woke up she was surprised seeing her 8 years old son holding a hot cup of tea standing besides her bed.She asked him what it was today? He replied:"Everyday you do so much for us mom,in this freezing winter morning this is a token of love for you."
- Divneet Kaur Walia, MBA(MM),I Year

A drunk me sang, "Come with me to the nearest bedroom my lady, I'll take you to the land of incredible happiness". A smart she mockingly retorted ,"First win me honey, I dare you, kiss the nearest land like you'd kiss me." Frozen ground. Tongue stuck. Stayed there till ambulance arrived. Deserved. Apologized after discharge.
- Sahil Chandwani, MBA (MM) I Year

He could be everywhere, but in her arms.
Despite hugging his over sized jacket, her heart only felt winter.
- Priyanka Dharamsi, MBA (MM) I Year

She was a wife, a mother, a daughter in law, was considered free all day as she was a housewife but only she knew how difficult it was to be one.
The season was ending, gathering all the clothes, washing them & keeping everything ready for summer was going to be her next month's schedule...
- Mehul Newaskar, MBA (MM), I Year

"Yummy hot chocolate..!" She said to her mom. It was a beautiful snowy morning. Little cozy, little lazy, lying on the bed with the quilts on.. just so perfect.. Yes, this is how the winters are..
- Gunmeet Kaur, MBA (MM), I Year

She was happy with me. I thought she, too, was falling for me but it was only my perception. She was just interested in my cousin. I was in a dilemma - couldn't accept nor could ignore. And the winters just made me feel more cold and froze my tears.
- Ankita Methwani, MBA (MM), I Year

Just 2 months and his 1st winter..
Sneezes. Cough. Dull. Pain. Quiet. Doctor. Injections. Medicines. Lots of care.
In 10 days, he and my worried self finally got back to normal…
Healthy. Happiness. Noise. Fun. Moving all over the place. Learning. Growing up.
He’s my baby. Unconditional love we share… A lot more than a pet my pug "Neo" is.
- Shruti Singh, MBA (MM), I Year

I'm a cold blooded being, I have an armor shield, I hide myself in me when winters make me chill. I thank my lord who bestow food and shawl.
Soon this winter would go I'll then play with my lord at shore.
I'm a little turtle enjoying winters by my own!
- Vishal Dhir, MBA (MM), I Year

Everywhere silence, was just me & you. Everywhere darkness & water too. I was shivering; suddenly you wrapped me into your warm sweater. That sweater was like your arms, so safe, so warm... you hugged me. I closed my eyes..said- I LOVE U & we kissed. That dreamy cold night changed my whole life..
- Deepika Piplodiya, MBA (MM), I Year

He promised me. But, he had come tired from office. We had dinner & he slept.
Love between us was fading. I slept too.
2 am: "Baby get up!" Bewildered, I asked “What? Why?”
"Baby, it’s December 23, we are going to Marine Drive, you forgot?"
Astonished, I hugged him & he whispered "I Love You".
-Rashmeet Kaur Bedi, MBA (MM), I Year.

A cold morning in hostel, I found myself in a deep flashback…
“Mumma, don’t wake me up, it’s just 9& you know na how much I love to sleep in winters.”
Maa smiled & said, "chai la dun?"
Those were the days when I used to enjoy every moment of the so called "thand".
But now there is neither mumma's tea nor thand.
- Nancy Neel, MBA (MM), I Year.

Dusk had just fallen. We reached the destination. 4 degrees, cool breeze, two enchanting souls ducked into love, cozy moments. The winter evenings are even more beautiful. Though, we don’t know the truth - Is it infatuation or love? Keeping the moment alive, he kissed my forehead. I just smiled but silence between us had spoken thousand words.
- Abhilasha Sharma, MBA (MM), I Year.

Once I was walking through a street, wearing 2 sweaters and a jacket but was still shivering.
Suddenly, I noticed a child playing, wearing a dusty shorts and a t-shirt.
Something made me give him my jacket.
That smile on his face made me feel like the richest person and that was much more than any money in the world..
- Prateek Mahant, MBA (MM), I Year.

December time..!!
Great snowfall, I was shivering..
Mom came and hugged me. I looked at her and hugged her again..
She asked- “What happened baby..?”
I smiled and said- “Oh nothing mom! You can save me from thand also..!"
- Saranga Mungad, MBA (MM), I Year.

He was at some distance. . I was walking towards him. . But then I saw his eyes. . Felt something wrong. . He said its over now. . I explained. . But he had decided. . He left. . I froze. . I couldn't make out that it was because of his words or the Winter.

- Ashish Kumar, MBA (MM) II Year

- Rahul Jharia, MBA (MM) II Year

- Vibhor Upadhyay, M. Sc. II Year

Theme 1 - Tea

- Rahul Jharia, MBA (MM), II Year

- Parakram Singh, MBA (MM), I Year

- Mehul Newaskar, MBA (MM), I Year

- Divya Bharti, M. Sc., II Year

- Vibhor Upadhyay, M. Sc., II Year

- Zoya Warsi, M. Sc., II Year

- Osho Jain, M. Sc., II Year

- Vishakha Fatwani, M. Sc., II Year

- Shivani Soni, MBA (MM), II Year

Her chauffer pulls over. Did she get my letter? She looks overwhelmed.
“Bill me a tea”, she hands me more than enough cash and walks in the loo.
”Ma’am, your…?”
“Thanks son, just needed to use the ladies room, have a treat, my son is graduating today.”
I get tea, guess illicit kids just get tea.
- Sahil Chandwani, MBA (MM), I Year

"But you promised me that we'd go shopping today!", she complained.
"I don't want any fights baby, office was already tiresome."
She left fussing. But came out of the kitchen smiling. I thought I was forgiven only until I realized that revenge had been served to me in the form of a sugarless tea.
-Priyanka Dhararmsi, MBA (MM), I Year

A chilly morning. Cozy bed. Warm blanket. Sun rays trespassing through the window. Sleepy, but conscious. Eyes partially open and hands searching for mobile under my pillow. A quick check of the time & day. "Oh! Today’s Sunday, it’s my baby's turn for making our bed tea & breakfast."
A composed smile with ease and back to sleep.
- Rashmeet Kaur Bedi, MBA (MM), I Year

First date: She ordered tea and he ordered coffee.
Second date: Tea leaves in two cups were predicting the future..
-Priyanka Agrawal, M. Sc., III Year

Busy schedule, late night party. 7 a.m, sleepy morning. A cup of my favorite hot ginger tea brought by Mumma lead to laughter, silly topics but huge discussions while being crazy, to sharing of cozy thoughts, feelings of happiness and to a new friendship. Just a cup of tea..
- Ankita Methwani, MBA (MM), I Year

Falling rain drops on the window, hot cup of tea, old memories lingering around. She was sitting, taking a nostalgic trip - fights with friends, gossip with mom, romance with beloved. The untouched memories splashed out with the cup of tea again. Time has changed but the tea remains the same like the beautiful old memories.
-Gunmeet Kaur, MBA (MM), I Year

A shot of vodka welcomed me to my buddy’s city. Dance, dinner, and weed- everything just followed. Night stay was accompanied by secret sharing… Teasing turned into a big fight. We slept with faces on opposite ends on the same bed..
Woke up with a hangover only to turn around to a cup of tea and a note - "love you ".
- Shruti Singh, MBA (MM), I Year

We were meeting quite often those days. Over coffee. We both loved coffee. And I am not counting our similarities.
We are just friends!!
That day we met at his office. And softly he said,"Lets do something we haven't till now."
I was perplexed.
And then he put two cups of tea forward. I smiled.

Love marriage – a couple’s dream come true.
Years passed. Husband was busy collecting materialistic things. Wife forcefully kept herself busy.
Love faded and talks vanished. What left was only marriage.
One fine morning, a miracle happened -
2 cups of tea on the dining table & a beautiful conversation made both of them realize that they were still in love.

- Nancy Neel, MBA (MM), I Year

Bright Sunday morning, melodious old tracks, that’s all I need to refresh myself after the monotonous routine.
"Papa.. aapki chai.." sweetest voice enters within me. My 6 year old daughter came up with tea, made by her along with today’s newspaper. What could be a better thing than watching your offspring make efforts for making you happy!
- Abhilasha Sharma, MBA (MM), I Year

One morning I was sitting in the balcony with my teddy when it suddenly started raining..!!
Mumma entered and saw that I was smiling watching the rain..
Handling me a cup of tea, she asked “Are you in love my dear?”
And I.. I just remained quiet and took a sip of the tea.
